About Kacang

Kacang is currently a graduate student in Malaysia trainee in his dream networking company at Research Triangle Park, NC. His real name is Wei Chiang, but due to phonetic similarities, his nickname since school was “Kacang” (pronounced ‘ka-chang’). In the native Malay language, “kacang” means “nut”. Hence, the title of this blog is a translation of this nickname, as well as an intended pun in regards to his sanity (or rather, the occasional usual lack of it).

Writing has always fascinated him, and so he blogs about his thoughts and experiences in this journey between cradle and coffin. At the same time, blogging is also a means to train himself to be observant and analytical about the world he lives in.

When writer’s block strikes, he doodles the occasional (usually rather weird looking) comic strip about aliens called Zagnooks. In his spare time, Kacang can be found randomly developing stuff and thinking up articles to write for his hopefully-soon-to-go-live tech site at www.cyberdurian.com in front of his company’s standard issue Lenovo T61, doing what ever he usually does in front of it. Which is usually not a lot.
