The REAL reason Malaysian universities are in decline
Posted on January 27th, 2008 by Kacang
The next time anybody asks me why our local universities are producing graduates of such dismal quality (yours truly included), I’m gonna tell ‘em that we don’t have super brainy and totally gorgeous/sexy/beautiful/kawaii part-time model academicians lecturing us, unlike them lucky folks in Singapore universities. Which makes it hard to give 1001% of our attention to them and the subject being taught.
Sorry, links deliberately not given to help protect the career of said academician. But damn :-0…

???
Do we still have lecturers speaking in monotone dialogs and practically reading from books that you’d rather read it yourself?
@Freethinker: It was a very recent issue in Singapore, where an apparently very brainy and very pretty academician’s amateur modeling photos were found by her students. I heard that she or someone related to her made polite requests to some blogs to remove entries linking to her pictures and profiles, so to respect her wishes, I’ll not identify her here.
@ahmog: Worse. It has since dropped to as low as a “Balik baca sendiri!” and an early dismissal from class.
This very pretty young academician also appeared in several local Chinese newspapers, in the barest bikini and in a very enticing pose. And even on the front page to boot. The papers, the students and even the university said that was not a problem. So it was all OK at the end.
The papers even mentioned the name of the university. Nevertheless, I would not name any name here just to protect her modesty and decency, as if there is any left.
Pahang Warrier: No worries on the modesty and decency thing, mate. After all, a bikini is just a swimming costume, and people take poolside pictures all the time. Fact is, nobody’d give a second hoot it she weren’t so hot, so if there’s any fault in morality, it most likely is ours for ogling her in the first place.
Cheers, and thanks for dropping by!
